Sinopia has supplied and installed solar-powered pumping systems in the Amhara Region, Fogera Woreda. Fogera is one of the woredas in northwest Ethiopia's Amhara Region, home to the Gumara and Reb rivers, both of which flow into Lake Tana. However, due to low community capacity and limited external support, these rivers and other water resources have not been well utilized. To address this limitation, the concerned parties collaborated with Sinopia to implement an efficient and reliable solar-powered pumping system for irrigation purposes. The installed system is capable of pumping 20.16 cubic meters per day at 30 meters head, and many farmers are reaping the benefits of this project.
